With over 1,200 dedicated engineers, we act as the Research and Development department for our customers. We support our customers with the development of Mechatronics, Optics, Applied Mathematics, and Software, enabling them to accelerate their R&D roadmap by providing high-quality R&D services.

About Sioux Singapore:

Sioux Singapore is offering the software development services of our R&D centers across Europe and Asia to customers in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore to customers in the medical and semiconductor industry in Asia.

Job Summary:

As Business Development Manager- Software, you are a solution-oriented thinker, constantly seeking the connection between the real needs of our customers and Sioux's software services. Your knowledge of our customers and the market enables you to provide excellent advice. Driven by curiosity to develop your customers, Sioux, and yourself, you actively follow market developments, while also enjoying the collaboration with our top-level engineers.

With your pro-active approach and high energy level you take responsibility, deliver quality, and "last but not least" enjoy the work and the results you achieve. With your proven track record, you build and maintain relationships and realize winning proposals for new and existing customers. This puts Sioux Technologies even further on the map of our international customers.

The business development manager will determine the propositions and strategy for how to sell outsourced software development services to our customers. The business development manager is responsible for selling various business models such as co-development, services sales and software as a service. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Strategy and Expansion:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for software development services in the semiconductor and medical markets in Asia.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Sioux's market presence using innovative sales strategies, active market development, and networking.
    • Analyze market trends and customer needs to uncover areas for business expansion and value generation.
    • Maintain a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities.
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management::
    • Generate leads and secure new customers aligned with Sioux's growth ambitions.
    • Maintain and expand your network at industry events and through various sales methods.
    • Manage relationships with potential clients and partners to generate business opportunities
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop specialized Sioux propositions based on market insights and available knowledge.
    • Present business reviews to the management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
    • Manage the commercial aspects of client offers and initial contract negotiations.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Work closely with Business Development Managers and account teams across Asia and Europe to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.
    • Organize and participate in customer and industry events and campaigns to enhance sales pipeline activities.
    • Build strong relationships with external partners and collaborate with Team Leaders to develop innovative offerings and comprehensive account management strategies.
    • Foster a collaborative environment by sharing market insights and customer feedback with internal teams to continuously improve Sioux’s services and solutions.

Job requirements

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in services sales, business development, and strategic partnerships within the software or engineering outsourcing industry.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for business development.
  • Strong consultative selling experience.
  • Proven ability to expand networks and generate leads.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Demonstrated experience building cooperative, trusting, and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to accurately assess risks in relationships and developments.
  • Experience selling to and working with C-Level and senior members of prospective clients.
  • A "hunter" mentality with excellent problem identification and active listening skills.
